About Me
Hi, I am Eli
Hi, I’m Eli. I was born in Germany and grew up in Serbia, where I obtained my Master of Science Degree in Ecology from the University of Belgrade. I got practical experience as a volunteer in different conservation organizations like WWF, Biological Research Society, UN projects as well through an international research internships in Germany, Brazil, Oman, and Sri Lanka where I joined Base Camp, an eco-tourism company with experts in Biology and Environmental Science that through ethical and sustainable practices gives guests an unforgettable experience in the wild, helps local communities and preservation of the environment through different projects.
Since 2017, I am living in Sri Lanka. I am an entrepreneur and scientist fueled by a passion for the outdoors, nature, wildlife, simple and eco-living. Besides Simply Ecologist I am the founder of Eco&Stylish, BataECO, Ranger, and Litepreneur. I consider myself a ‘forever student,’ eager to both build on my academic foundations and stay in tune with the latest digital marketing strategies through research and continued coursework, as I believe that through a social influence my knowledge can reach more people.
I believe that the work-life balance and working on your purpose every day is the key to a happy and successful life. My purpose is to create and share my passions and knowledge with you!
Simply Ecologist is a blog about the multidisciplinary science of ecology and it represents all its scientific aspects in an interesting and simple way that everyone can understand.
