Before a person ever reads your CV, software reads it and scores it against the advert. This rewrites your CV for one specific advert, in the employer’s own wording, and never claims anything you have not done. Built for biologists and ecologists.

There is a step in every application that nobody shows you.

Between the moment you press send and the moment a human being looks at your name, your CV passes through software. It strips your careful formatting down to plain text, hunts for your contact details, your roles and your dates, and compares what it finds against the wording of the advert. Whatever it cannot read is not scored badly. It simply does not exist.

This is where ecology CVs quietly lose. The advert asks for Phase 1 habitat survey experience. Your CV says habitat mapping. You have done the work, you have stood in the rain doing the work, and the match is still zero, because the system compares words, not meaning. A beautiful two column CV loses for the same reason: pull the text out of columns and your bat licence ends up interleaved with half a sentence about something else.

The ATS CV Creator works on that step.

You give it your CV and one job advert. It reads the person specification the way an assessor does, separating essential from desirable, then rebuilds your experience against each criterion in turn. Your evidence is reordered so what matters most to this employer appears first. Weak phrasing is replaced with what you actually did: helped with bat surveys becomes surveyed bats, was responsible for becomes ran. Filler leaves. Where you honestly match a requirement, the advert’s own words go in, because those are the words being matched.

What it will not do is invent anything. Where you do not meet a criterion, it tells you so plainly and leaves the decision with you. A CV claiming a licence you do not hold does not fail quietly. It fails in the interview, in front of someone who knows.

What you get

  • The checker, which scores your CV against any advert and shows every criterion you are missing, with a realistic way to close each one.
  • AI rewrites tailored to one specific advert at a time, so the same CV can be aimed at a consultancy on Monday and a wildlife trust on Thursday without you starting again.
  • A set of CV templates, all single column on purpose, because that is what survives being read by a machine.
  • Downloads as PDF and as an editable Word file, with a photo or without, since Germany expects one and the UK, Ireland and the United States would rather you left it off.
  • A notes box for everything your CV leaves out, the volunteering, the self taught QGIS, the ringing weekends. It turns each line into a proper CV bullet and adds only what this advert asks for. The rest is held back and listed, so you keep it for the application where it fits.

Your CV is read inside your own browser. Nothing is uploaded. The only moment text leaves your machine is the rewrite itself, and only when you ask for it.

Who it is for

Biologists and ecologists applying to real jobs: consultancy, government, trusts and NGOs, research, laboratory and industry. It is most useful when you have genuine experience that keeps failing to show up on the page.

If you have no experience at all yet, start with the free checker first. It will tell you honestly where you stand, and that is a better place to begin than a rewrite.
